EDF is bent anyway,
The electricity charges were ridiculous, I left them two years ago and got another company and it is now less than half of EDFs charges. I am saving £1,000 a year
never deal with them

Well Brian it must be a different set of tariffs between EDF France and EDF UK my electric bill for the last 12 months was €816.00. You are saving £1000 a year since switching from EDF ? Perhaps if Maggie had not privatised the Utility companies things like Gas, Electric and Water would be a lot cheaper seeing as there would be no share holders chasing the profits. Also the Utility companies would not be in the ownership of foreign hands.

Lewis, Maggie always envisaged that control of the Utility companies would be UK controlled and the Government had a Golden share which vetoed any unwanted takeover. In 2004 the EU
Commission declared the Golden share was illegal under EU rules.

Terry, on Facebook there pictures taken back 1952 when the main road in Long Eaton they had to use punts to get about.

Cappy/ Vic/ Are you guys suggesting global warming is not taking place and responsible for a lot of these disasters around the world, Blowing a gale in Shields cappy ? Floods in 1952 Vic. I am talking about extraordinary weather events around the world on a weekly basis.

###there always has been weather events ted but its just the way they are portrayed today......the weather is on a cycle and changes from year to year...people are making a living reporting it .....in the bible there were drouts and floods and pestilence .....a lot of it is only reported when there is not another thing newsworthy.....drouts floods fires eathquakes ...it was so hot once the red sea dried up ....well moses got across anyway....and a bloody ark had to be built to save the animals in the floods .....as for icebergs melting ...if they hadnt the titanic wouldnt have sunk.....dont worry ted things will turn out fine....

Its been up to 14 here today, blowing a gale and heavy rain, but mild. positively balmy.
