Re: Service
As this post is about service I think some mention of our Australian politicians should get some measure of the limelight. Section 44 of the Commonwealth of Australia Act, July 9th, 1900, states quite plainly, that any person who is a citizen of a foreign power shall be incapable of sitting as a senator.
You don't need learned lawyers or a court of any sort, high or low, to understand what that means. Today after the first fanfare of 2 Green senators, other of different parties are appearing out of the Woodwork. What message does that send to the country of the service provided by our politicians and is it any wonder they are looked on as they are. They are a bunch of no hopers of whatever party's they belong to, the less power they have the better, as they show time and time again they are self seeking morons. They must have the record for { Dis] service known to modern man. JWS.

John, politicians are self serving parasites living off the taxes of the people.
They claim to be in service , and yes they are. In service so at the end of their time in parliament they wiil get some wonderful job unlike any the workers could ever hope for, and a pension far ahead of any we could ever hope for.

Re: Service
Today or yesterday Donald Trump has stated that no cross sexed person shall serve in the US armed forces. This will give the media ample news coverage for months. Whatever ones views on the subject one must admit he is not going for brownie points from the public. When that law was brought out to let them serve there was consternation among many but no one had the guts to stand up and say nay. He will have his say and is not afraid of the political consequences unlike most politicians. I don't decry people of different persuasion but there are jobs certain people are able to do and others not able to do. That is a fact of life. Before people start jumping in and quoting equal rights etc. there are equal rights for people with equal capabilities. A man cannot carry a baby in his womb because he hasn't got one, so a man and woman are different whatever the woman's movement says. In the British Merchant Navy if you were an alcoholic you were considered unemployable and sacked. In the Royal Navy you were sent to one of their drying out farms and attempted to cure, their attitude was we have taught you to drink and they took the blame to a certain extent and said you must have learned to drink whilst in service so all is not equal. We still live in a world where we are responsible for our own actions, regardless of those who have no morals and think the world owes them a living, and a good one to boot. Cheers JWS

Re: Service
The latest tweets by Trump on transgender people joining the military maybe a distraction to move the subject away from the Russian involvement. His son and son in law are now part of the inquiry.

Re: Service
Maybe Louis the world is made up of maybes. There are more legislation moves than those mentioned in the press, which are not made known as would probably fill a newspaper but are not considered worth reporting as don't have stop press interest to them. Cheers JWS

Re: Service
It is a cost factor that comes into this one. Before Obama they were not allowed in but once in some have had the 'change' paid for by the military according to USA news today.
But until all come to grips with the fact that men and women are different nothing will change.

Re: Service
A figure of 30,000 personel has been quoted if that is correct is an awful lot of peculiar types in the US forces, not a few as has been mentioned elsewhere. JWS. PS do you think it's something in the water. jS

Re: Service
They say you are a homophobe implies that you are frightened of homosexuals . So I think I could just say I am becoming homo intolerant . When you get prepubescent boys of 8 years old's are demanding they can go to school in a skirt because they are really a girl then I think that there is something wrong with the system because I'm sure it ain't . What I thought the only difference between girls and boys was the colour of socks we wore . I don't care what someone sexuality is if they are a mature adult that is down to them but I am getting absolutely sick to the back teeth of having this lesbian gay bisexual transgender argument pushed out of the Cradle and television what seems to be every five minutes why don't they l b g t community just let things grow naturally
