Default Loss of war material Dunkirk

Just been reading about the material we left behind at Dunkirk.
    RN ships lost 228
    Planes 1,000
    Tanks 689
    Vehicles 64,000
    Motor Cycles 29,000
    Guns £3,500

If these figures are right we must have been on the bones of our ****
we did not have much left in the UK.
No wonder we had to go to Uncle Sam cap in hand to beg for a loan.

I think we also left behind many thousands of our troops to spend the rest of the war as POW's. Regards Peter in NZ.
