The religious schools locally are Catholic and difficult to get in to for non Catholics , the parents of Protestant / Church of England children have to be regular churchgoers .

We are in a situation with schools where sports days have teams not individuals so children who lose do not get disappointed by failure .

Religious instruction is replaced by a study of all religions and the philosophy of society and ethics . My grandchildren are taught this by a self confessed Atheist

I do feel that the school curriculum is a pale version of its former self , maybe some of the old tough teachers were not so bad as I remembered them , I think we could do with a few

Unbelievable Rob! As I have no grandchildren, I really don't know what they're teaching kids here in Canada, but if this sort of thing was proposed, I'm sure I would have heard about it. This is really a form of child sexual abuse. I honestly don't know what this world is coming to.

I get regular weekly e-mails from the Christian Institute , this was amongst them over a year ago , I regard it as undefendable ,the schools claim that it is a guide , and it was a strange experience when my seven year old granddaughter announced leaving school one day that she had a vagina . The schools tell that they are just teaching the children the proper names , but does an seven year old really need to know . Maybe I am just getting old , but I think the World is becoming corrupted

#28 Rob, I only have one grandchild at school P2 [6yrs]. I discussed this issue with my daughter the last time this subject was aired on site. She was assured by the teacher that this was not condoned by Alexander's school, and that he will be at least 10yrs before sex education will be broached and only when a letter from parents is signed allowing it. This was the same for my youngest when she was 10yrs also, and again with opt out option at that school, granted a different school but still Scotland.

You see Marian this is where it has all gone wrong with the teaching of today. In our days by the time you had reached the ripe age of about 10 you had learned all there was to know about sex behind the bicycle shed.

Sadly in Hampshire the trendy liberals run these things , some of the School Subjects to my mind are borderline lunacy . They do role play dramas that make me cringe and I am no prude
