Re: Elocution Lessons
Sex education in schools has been around for years but is obviously not working here in the U.K. if the number of child births by under age teenagers is anything to go by.
Whether it is as result of the Jimmy Savill scandal or not, I don't know, but the NSPCC now have an advert out encouraging young children to name parts of their bodies where no-one is meant to touch them.
Can anyone recall the problems that many fathers encountered years ago when the paedophile scandals first started coming to light and this resulted in many fathers being afraid to cuddle or show any sort of affection towards their own children in public for fear of being accused of child molesting

Re: Elocution Lessons
My youngest so and his wife fostered young children for many years, and remembering that the one thing these kids were deprived of was affection, it was very difficult, They looked upon me and my wife as Gran and Gramps, and always gave them a hug, they always wanted a cuddle, but i must admit, i always felt very uncomfortable. Those kids are adults now and still in contact with us. Some of the stories those kids brought with them were real nightmare stories. KT

#17 Reminds me of a campfire poem but I can only rcall the beginning and the end:
You can talk of bush blossoms,
Goannas and possums.
Of gay kookaburras,
Most joyous of birds........

........"where's Bluey?"
Down in Tmba bloody rumba,
Shoot'n kanga bloody roos

Re: Elocution Lessons
I must still have gaps in my sexual education- the only things I learned behind the bicycle shed was how to mend a puncture. ( any Freudian members read into that what you will). #36
