You missed the boat Vernon, it was all go about four years ago when Rudd the dud was in power. Then Burke, by name and nature, pulled the pin in the July saying the gov could no longer afford it, but I got in first and got mine.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

So after my phone call at the end of August and the promise of a call within 48 hours I finally got a call last night to say that there was a surveyor in the area and could he call and see me.It was mentioned on here that someone had taken up the free offer and he was delighted with it,the only thing you had to do was lease off your roof for 25 years.I was glad I had that information because I put the rep on the back foot right away by telling him that there is no way that I would lease off my roof for 25 years.Imagine the trouble you would leave your kids with when they come to sell the house.Well you dont have to take that option he said,so your going to tell me that i can buy them said I.I asked him how much, because I dont know how many panels that you need I cant give you a price he said.Well give me the low and the high price I asked. It would start at £5grand and go upto £13grand,but you would own them you will get you electric for nothing and sell the rest to the national grid.I declined his offer, yes they are free if you lease off your roof.
    Regards.

I have had several phone calls offering to sell me Solar Panels, you end up in debt for many years, but free electricity.
    How good is that?
Another Daft advert on the top of these pages, `Get your Free Gas Boiler.`
    I cannot get one,
All our overseas residents who live in my avenue have all had new radiators and Gas boilers. I said where is mine,
You are not on benefits so No Chance.
I am a Pensioner, ...No That is not good enough, You have to have Pension Credit, ....Then give me Pension Credit and I will have a Boiler...
Pension Credit is when your State Pension is not as much as it should be, But because I have a Merchant Navy Pension that I bought and paid for with my own money I am over the limit for Credit,
If I was on Pension Credit I wouls get a free boiler, I would get FREE Council Tax, more than £1250 a year, free dental and Opticians glasses.
If I deduct those benefits from my Pension I am living on less money than the ones who have No Occupational Pension. My boiler is 15 years old, always breaking down, costs me a fortune to maintain, burns more gas than it should do and gives me bigger gas bills further reducing my net pension.
If it breaks down again, the Man said there are no more spare parts, it is obsolete. then I will have pay over £2000 for a new one.
My overseas neighbours , never paid a penny in taxes, on every benefit going, and also New Mercedes Cars on the disability. get everything for Free.
I only wished I had gone on the ale and spent all my money and Not invested in a MN Pension.
    Cheers
    Brian.

Fings aint wot they used to be Cappy. Even out here taking stuff to the Sally Ann to help out some poor beggar, if its not new they don't want it. I would have given my eye teeth for some of the furniture when first married, nowadays they expect fitted carpets on the dole. We still have those here from the cradle to the grave on benefits, and there is work for those who want it. Just wont leave their home comforts. Cheers John Sabourn.

Same as John in Oz, got mine at the same time. However could only afford 5. To be nearly self sufficient reckon would need at least 15. The company I bought off are now non existant, going to others to increase the amount are going to charge at least 3 times of the original investment. In summer they make about 6.9 Kwatts a day, enough to run the fridges and TVs I reckon. I have recovered the original investment of about 2500 dollars. But wary of increasing the investment as seems rather large just to add extra. Cheers John Sabourn
