    John
Our Industries were signed away in the Lima Agreement in 1975, by , I think, Harold Wilson. a real good Socialist. all our industries had to be given away to Third World Countries to spread the work around to the poor countries who are now richer than we are.
I wonder if they will now give them back???
    Cheers
    Brian.

    1975 was Harold Wilson #

    The Lima Declaration
The full title of this treaty is "Lima Declaration And Plan Of Action On Industrial Development And Co-Operation. The treaty was signed in 1975 at a convention of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, in Lima, Peru. The treaty is an international agreement to wind down national manufacturing in developed nations, and transfer that manufacturing capability to developing nations.

This treaty sets the policy which has, over 30 years, encouraged corporations to build themselves into globalist multinationals. It only benefits these corporations and their international bankers.

    A key clause states ...

recognising the urgent need to bring about the establishment of a new international economic order based on equity, sovereign equality, interdependence and co-operation, as has been expressed in the Declaration and Programme of Action on the Establishment of a New International Economic Order, in order to transform the present structure of economic relations.

In February 1963 after Hugh Gatskill's untimely death Anthony Crosland called the leadership election "A choice between a crook (Wilson) and a drunk (Brown). I quite liked Tony Crosland , in Wilsons Cabinet of 1966 He was the lowest property owner when he purchased a house in Hull for £100,000 , this was 1966 , the Socialists at ministerial level all had property well above £100.000 except Crosland his was just worth that , I could but a really good new four bedroom detached in Derbyshire for £2,500 so the poorest minister could buy 40 working men's posh houses , i think socialist is stealth Conservative thief ,

If all these countries, about five or six so far, need to be bailed out because of their economies, they didnt seem be in financial trouble before the EU , then obviously the EU should be scrapped.
I think it is only in excistance for the beaurocrats of the EU to make a lot of money for themselves. so I think they make the MAFIA look like a charitable organisation,
It is of No use to us.
We were a wealthy nation trading world wide, as we all knew as Seafarers, shipping our exports world wide, we lost all our overseas markets because of the EU. and now we have to bail out the losers.
    I despair once again.

    Default Cyprus.

What would happen if these country's that are heavily in debt declare themselves skint and took the same action as Argentina and Iceland and defaulted on their loans would this wipe the slate clean?Maybe they could go back to their own currency and set their own Bank Rate I'm sure some of them would be better out of the Euro.
