Is that Seaforth John. If so , maybe I just missed you a few times. Used to visit the terminal about once a month.
Stayed at a hotel just along from the terminal on the coast road.

You can burn , anthracite or smokeless fuel anywhere in the UK, wood stoves are available that can be used in smokeless areas. I burn dry welsh steam coal in a multifuel stove ( yes it is still available and cheap straight from the mine ) . What I really can not understand is why so many on here being pensioners still support this conservative government and their fellow travellers like UKIP. Is it some status thing where former officers would never admit to be socialist?

Because I have saved a bit over the years, and you have to tell all the details, or else they can get you for fraud, my pension credit was halved, and the same week, I lost my entitlement to council tax benefit. My advice to all,is spend not save, that way you just might qualify for anything going, like foreign illegals etc!

Obviously different council different rules. But if I recall way back in the early 60's there was a Clean Air Act passed realting to all of this, mabe they changed some of it!

Pensioners seem to be a favourite way for many governments to squeeze more out of.
In the UK income tax system , one has a code number which if my memory is correct is the amount a person
may earn before tax is calculated.
In the Netherlands it's similar although it's called a tax deduction and is taken off your tax bill at the end ( so that
you are always taxed on your full earnings ). Everyone under the age of 65 gets this . Over 65 , it's called
"old age deduction". Up to last year , both deductions were similar in amount.
As from January this year , if you have a reasonable pension , the deduction has been reduced by about € 1000 .
So also over here , pensioners are an easy target. A banker earning € 400.000 will get a larger deduction than
a pensioner earning € 40.000. It's not just the UK who are guilty of ripping us off.

I am a lifelong socialist , my forefathers were Derbyshire miners who before the turn of the last century stood united against the Mine Owners , facing a starve them back to work policy , but I voted for Cameron last time , because I did not see any Socialist standing , I looked at New labour and saw upper middle class lawyers , all public school educated , who systematically fooled the electorate into believing they stood for the working man whilst they lined their own pockets . Look at the fortune made by Blair , Mandelson , , look into the past the wealth of Harold Wilson , Anthony Wedgwood Benn , these Pseudo Socialists are not there to help their fellow man , so I voted Conservative because they were exactly the same , but were more overt than the other Conservatives , known as New Labour
Milliband lives in a £2,000,000 house in Primrose Hill educated Oxford and Harvard son of a University Professor
Ed Balls Nottingham High ( Private ) School and Oxford property well over a £1.000.000 , refused like Milliband to discuss his personal worth ,
The whole lot are like it , you can Vote For either Conservative , or the Other Conservative or let us pretend to be conservative , like milk it is all the same colour but sometimes you add colouring to make it look pretty and flavour to disguise what it is
I don't get which bit of these guys is Socialist , show me one and I will vote
