He is a Prime Example Cappy , I lived in Osborne Avenue parallel to the Railway line to the pit during the nineteen sixties , so do understand a little about Sand-dancer land

David Miliband has made just short of £1m on top of his MP’s salary since he failed to win the Labour leadership in the summer of 2010 and retreated to the backbenches of the House of Commons. £500,000 a year , that should enable him to relate to the average retired miner or retired dock worker

He is Oxford and MIT educated

But much of Mr Miliband’s time has been spent on his lucrative directorships and speaking roles, which he would be expected to give up if he returned to frontline politics. Well I actually thought he was paid ttpo be in parliment to represent the electorate , see I was wrong , he is a public advisor who represents his constituents when he has the time

Mr Miliband’s jobs include advisory roles with VantagePoint Capital Partners, a Californian group; Oxford Analytica, a UK advisory company; and Indus Basin Holdings, a Pakistani agrochemical group. He is also a member of the advisory board to the Sir Bani Yas academic forum, which is hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. Despite supporting Arsenal, Mr Miliband is vice-chairman and a non-executive director of Sunderland football club. As a speaker he commands a fee of up to £20,000.
His earnings since leaving government total £985,315 including travel and accommodation for himself and his staff, according to the most recently published Commons register. That amounts to more than six times his earnings through his salary as an MP.

So on that basis he could be representing his voters every other Monday or so .

These Pseudo socialists really do make me want to scream , they have the labour voter fooled , it is not New Clothes on the Emperor as the Hans Christian Anderson FAiry tale told us , we just believe it because that is what we have been told .

Having just come back from Hawaii, they are also having it tough out there. not just the UK I think it is a world wide thing.
In Honolulu, Big stores, Maceys, Sears and many other big name are closing. hundreds of people unemployed, At the Aloha Tower berth for the cruise ships there is a big shopping mall, 125 Units, last February 2012, when I was there, all were full, now there is only 12 units occupied it looked derelect.
I noticed a lot of homeless people sleeping on the beaches and in door ways, all their worldly belongings in a shopping trolly, the authorities there say it is a big problem of homelessness..
I am not too sure how they get their medical needs cared for, if they have to pay for being sick or if there is any benefits for unemployment or sickness. Maybe the American members could inform us on that.
I think the sick and unemployed are better off in UK than over there.
    ..
As regards the UK being broke, Why does the Government insist on giving Aid to all the Bums of the world. It is OUR money, the Tax Payers money, not theirs. If Politicians want to donate to China, North Korea and Iran ad fin, then they can donate their own money.
I pay taxes on my miserable Pension that I bought with money I earned, that should be used for the benefit of the people of Britain and no one else. Also everyone pays VAT taxes that also should be for the benefit of us.
They do not have the Permission of the people of the UK to give it away to Al Queda in Syria and other Terrorist organisations, the same ones who are killing our people in Afghanistan.
Cameron and EVERY Politition should all be charged with HIGH TREASON.
    Cheers

rob this is typicalof these people we don't want some body chosen for us from another part of the country hes never done a thing for shields and just wonder the amount of time he has spenton promoting shields and not himself but ive said before its the biggest gravy train going we should have people looking after our interests put them on the minimum wage and watch the country start to rise again over the bleeding wall with all of them ithink non of them shouldbe on more than the min wage and no expences for travel just warrants second class at that professional takers that sums it up have to put another pitch on runningnout of steam again regards cappy

Brian, why do you complain about money going overseas? All the gov is doing is saving the locals the cost of sending money to the relis over there. Do you know how much it would cost **** to send a money transfer to his relis in Upper Pakipakiland? American Express charge a fortune you know.

Only yesterday on TV Mr Vague said he wanted to send more Aid to Al Queda backed Islamic Jihadists in Syria,
If that is not Treason, what is??
Then the same Government say we are Broke, Where is he getting this money from? He has already given £72,000,000 to them.
