Puts me in mind of that old saying Brian "Why have a dog and bark yourself"

Have to say have renovated and sold several properties over the years including my own and there's nothing I won't try, apart from gas & electrics which I leave to the professionals. I fill skips to perfection without an inch to spare! Have dug drains and laid pathways, sanded and stained wood staircases/fireplaces/window frames. Sourced and recycled old gym floors, made the endless pots of tea/coffee and bacon baps inbetween. Costed all materials, stripped, painted, tiled. Favourite part is the interior finish at the end. Always first to arrive and last to go. Hubby thankfully supplies the dosh and leaves me to it.

My wife much the same Marion, a couple of years ago she was sanding the bay window in the lounge, I was at golf, when a walk-in burglar went into the kitchen and stole her handbag, I must admit I would have felt sorry for the burglar if she had caught him, my angry wife with a paint scraper in her hand would not have been something to face, kt

The breakers yard - never John - you are a historic seaman anyway Alang is no place for you - to hot and muddy, a bit like Formby Beach in the summer ............ nah keep the generator running and you will be fine
