Re: Israel what is next???
I have not noticed this on any other site bar the G captain site or the usual news channels. It was reported that the Houthi forces in the Yemen fired multiple missiles and drones over the red sea in a northerly direction towards Israel. The U.S. guided missile destroyer 'Carney' Had shot them down. If somebody can kindly down load the article from the site it is worth a read, In my mind it shows the determination of the U.S commitment to Israel and a barely reported escalation of the conflict.

Hi John, here's what the media posted, not sure you're looking for something else with more/other detail/background:
US military shoots down missiles and drones as it faces growing threats in volatile Middle East
WASHINGTON (AP) — With tensions spiking in the Middle East, U.S. forces in the region are facing increasing threats as a Navy warship shot down missiles appearing to head toward Israel Thursday and American bases in Iraq and Syria were repeatedly targeted by drone attacks.
Later, a U.S. official said there had been a rocket attack early Friday morning on U.S. and coalition forces at a diplomatic support center near the Baghdad International Airport. Initial assessments indicated two rockets were fired, the official said, noting that one was intercepted by a counter-rocket system and the other struck an empty storage facility.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss details not yet made public, said no casualties were reported.
Earlier, the USS Carney, a Navy destroyer in the northern Red Sea, intercepted three land attack cruise missiles and several drones that were launched by Houthi forces in Yemen. The action by the Carney potentially represented the first shots by the U.S. military in the defense of Israel in this conflict.

US warship in Red Sea intercepts 3 missiles fired from Yemen, possibly at Israel
WASHINGTON — A US Navy warship intercepted three missiles Thursday that had been fired by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, were heading north, and may have been aimed at Israel, the Pentagon said.
US officials said the USS Carney, a Navy destroyer, was in the Red Sea and intercepted the three missiles.
Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, told reporters three land attack cruise missiles and several drones were launched by Houthi forces in Yemen. He said they were shot down over the water.
“We cannot say for certain what these missiles and drones were targeting, but they were launched from Yemen heading north along the Red Sea, potentially toward targets in Israel,” Ryder said in a Pentagon briefing.
Ryder said the missiles were shot down because they “posed a potential threat” based on their flight profile, adding that the US is prepared to do whatever is needed “to protect our partners and our interests in this important region.” He said the US was still assessing what the target was.
Israel’s Channel 13 news cited anonymous Israeli assessments that Israel was the target.
Unnamed Israeli officials told Army Radio and the Walla news site that the missiles were fired in the direction of the Jewish state.
Houthi rebels have expressed support for the Palestinians and threatened Israel amid the Israel-Hamas war. The Iranian-backed group’s slogan is “Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse the Jews, Victory to *****.”
Iran has warned repeatedly that Israel could face wider threats if it does not halt its war against Gazan terrorists, launched after Hamas’s October 7 terrorist rampage through southern Israel, in which 1,400 Israelis were killed.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned Tuesday that “if the crimes of the Zionist regime continue, ******s and resistance forces will become impatient, and no one can stop them.”
In a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi said Monday that time was running out to reach a political solution to the Israel-Hamas conflict, warning of the “possibility of expanding the scope of war and conflict to other fronts.”
Last week, in Yemen’s Sanaa, which is held by the Houthi rebels still at war with a Saudi-led coalition, demonstrators crowded the streets waving Yemeni and Palestinian flags. The rebels’ slogan has long been, “God is the greatest; death to America; death to Israel; curse of the Jews; victory to *****.”
Abdel-Malek al-Houthi, the rebel group’s leader, warned the United States against intervening in the armed conflict in Gaza, threatening that his forces would retaliate by firing drones and missiles….

No doubt some will claim that video is fake. It confirms my thoughts that Russia and Iran are behind the war.

Re: Israel what is next???
Vic, Vic,
Why is it that anything stupid going on, Russia is behind it. We have enough stupid politicians of our own without that. Example our Labour PM in N.S.W. put a large print of an Israeli flag on the Sydney Opera House Sails in support., we have one of the biggest diaspora of Palestinians in Sydney who going by the results from their area all voted Labour, it was how he got in, the Jews in Sydney mainly vote Conservative go figure. I believe to be a true Politician one must be born without brains.

Re: Israel what is next???
#56 That reminds me of the first couple of years out here Des where people used to ask me if I had ,had the operation yet . It was sometime before I realised they were asking if I had taken out citizenship which according to them consisted of having the brain removed. If had known at the time could of answered I had no intention of going into politics.. JS

Re: Israel what is next???
From what we have seen on the news, a meeting in Doha is attempting a reconciliation between the two parties.
Will it work, yes if the minister there gets his wish.
Said he does not want the conflict to spread, far too many mothers could become involved.
Notayahoo is only holding back on land invasion because sleepy Joe tells him.
Without the USA behind them they have little hope.
On their own they will not last long.
Our feral employment minister, Labor member for the biggest Mo s lim society in Sydney says the Palestinian contingent there have every right to fly the flag of their country.
Rightly says family of all those killed have the right to mourn, not just one side.
Getting a bit worried when MP begin to talk any form of sense.

Re: Israel what is next???
There was another ranting bloke being interviewed on the telly last night, he was reminded that this latest lot started with many murders by Hamas a couple of weeks back. He retorted by telling the interviewer to stop harping back to what happened in the past, and to concentrate on what's happening now. Then, before the interviewer could respond, he ranted on about what Israel have done since 1947, implying they only got what they deserve.
This whole thing is about ******s and infidels, nothing else, other than the terrible consequences of the two mixing.
Apologies for repeating myself again.
