    Hello everyone

    Went to GSTS around 1956/57
First ship was P&Os Stathaird then Strathnaver ( Punkers and wind shutes in them days) then Chusan,Arcadia .
Anyone out there on those ships around 1957 1960? It would be great to hear from you

Hi Richard, I see that you say you were at Gravesend 56/57,does that mean you were there Dec.56 Jan57 if so I was there at the sa.me time.We all went home for Christmas. If you were there at the same time and you were in the Catering Dept maybe we were in the same class.I posted a class photo on I think the Sea schools thread.
    Regards.

G'day richard and welcome to the site. P&O at that time but you do not say which department you were in. Mate of mine on the Chusan back then, bell boy by the name of Keith Levett.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Default Strathnaver

    Hi Chic,
I did three trips on the Strathnaver from 28/5/56 to15/3/57.I did the 3rd one to get my rating not
because Iwas in love with her!.If I remember rightly there weren't that many jobs around at that time, not
    from the Goole Poole anyway,

    Cheers,Len.
