Was watching the papers review on Sky news last night and there were a number of articles ripping into TeflonTony and even some of his so called supporters in the press are now turning on him for his apparent greed. He supposedly asks 6 figure sums for an evenings lecture from him and his earnings, along with those of his missus, will shortly have him in the Bill Gates earning bracket, yet no one can actually figure out what he does given his dismal failures as Middle East Envoy amongst other things.
Between him and Brown, the so called canny Scots finance minister who claimed he was a "prudent" chancellor, nothing to do with our J.P.), they managed to turn an economy that was doing quite well into a financial meltdown which even today is still struggling with their aftermath.
Strangely enough, like many of us in the U.K., I was taken in by them initially and actually for a couple of years thought they were doing a half decent job. Think it was during his second term that I realised it was all going to rat ****.

Now Rob, we have similar in Oz the Labor party that like the one Blair encouraged is the 'New Labor'. That is it is Labor for those who can make a quid out of just about everybody whilst claiming to protect the underdog.
