As Hugh says she was in CONVOY EBC 4 which departed from Barry on 7th June ,so on D-Day (6th June) she was probably already assembled off Barry ,or en route to join it.
Her convoy number before this wasEN- 364 ,which saw her arrive in Loch Ewe from Methil on 30th March 1944. This was her last reported activity prior to her joining the EBC-4 convoy. two months later, on the day before D-Day.

Ann,
May I ask what makes you think she was off Normandy on the 6th June?
She was clearly part of the Operation Neptune fleet but the Normandy campaign didn't start or end on D Day.

Hugh

Not sure Hugh,
I have my grandpa on it on the 29th may 44 till 26th August 44 whwn it was torpedoed.
we knew he had been put on another ship.
I was told by an uncle that he was sure my grandpa had told him he was there at d day..
I am trying to find out if the ship was there for 6th June or not.
When & how long did the d day campaign start and finish??
