Re: master criminal in training.
My son when the same age/size did something similar he was aways getting out of the cot and walking though into the living room and we had no idea how he did it. So I stood by the door one night to watch, his cot was at the wall near a window with curtains hanging at the end of the cot , he got a hold of the curtains and pulled himself up and over the cot rails by clinging onto the curtains then lowered himself to the ground. The solution was to move the cot to another wall.

Re: master criminal in training.
My son was similar John. Like you we too watched as he scaled upwards over the rail then dreeped down the other side till he fell on the floor. Trouble being he was only 9mths and not yet walking. We had to put a bed alongside his cot for safety which he then used to land on - then lower himself down and crawl through across the hallway to our room whereby we brought him in. In theory a safer solution till morning when we would wake up with him sitting on our face. Worst case scenario was opening our eyes to be greeted by two wee chubby fingers about to prod them. There was no end to his unnerving capabilities, by the time our daughters came along their antics were a doddle.

Just reminds me of when our youngest grand daughter would stay. Bounce up and down in the cot and up and over the top. That young fella crafty or what pushing the cot back against the wall.

Thanks Keith that was a good laugh. I remember falling out of my cot, but I wasn't young I was around 25 and in a storm in the North Atlantic, still embarrassing.

Re: master criminal in training.
Talk about kids getting up to things. My grandson and Granddaughter, for about a week, used to run from the front window and leap onto my lap. It was a bit annoying due to me having my car keys in my jeans pocket and it hurt a bit. Anyway, one would land on my lap, then the other, standing by the front window, would shout "yeah" or "no". After a few times I'd take the keys out and it would all stop.
Some time later, they told me that they were opening and locking my car on the drive by jumping on my lap and hitting the keys. Only kids would think of that for a lark.
I don't know how many times I'd go out and find the car unlocked.

Basically the little darlings are out-thinking us right from the start of life, lol, and that continues for a long time, but love forgives anything, and we all love them.
