On the Hops Again
Well Gentlemen and others LOL
As all know by now that i have not been Drinking for many Years and been on the Ginger Beer as my main Drink!
Well i have decided that i need to get back on the Hops again, and after some looking around i have found a Beer that suits my Taste and is still good for me.
Its a German Non Alcoholic Beer
It has all the taste that is found in a good Lager , but a wee bit cloudy which by the way i always liked!
Got my first pack of Four Today and Boy! Did i enjoy it, just like the real McCoy.
So now i can sit and Enjoy the taste of real Beer without the after effects!
Cheers! and that is Cheers with some Beers!! LOL
Love it so much i have just finished ordering another 24 Bottles! Get it from a new Bottle Shop called Sans Drinks that deals in Non Alcoholic Drinks! Delivery to all parts of NSW and not expensive! They are in Freshwater Sydney!
John in Oz will love this! LOL

I always thought the "After effects" were part and parcel of the joy of a good night out Doc, until the next morning after downing
eight pints of Watneys Red Barrel bitter
cheers.

Re: On the Hops Again
We too have a Fresh Water here in Vic, a small dot on the map on way to the beach.
VB sure is a very good beer, looks as if you can get it in UK.
As to Watnesy Red Barrel, at one time the alcohol level was so low it was suitable to give to kids.
Never considered it a good beer.

Re: On the Hops Again
Watneys Red barrel was the downfall of good ale because of its low alcohol content they did not pay as much duty as stronger ales so all the other breweries followed their lead and weak ale became the norm, now they have gone back to stronger ale and give it a posh name of cask beer and charge a lot more for it. Den & HD John, well lets say one mans meat, two mens poison
, before I went to sea at 16, I had sampled some beers, Brown ale Pale ale and Guiness,
and I wasn't keen on any of them, when on my first trip I was given a Pilsner lager, yep that rang the bell, when I came ashore and made new mates I
drank Bitter, and then red barrel, evvery Monday evening we met up for darts night, there was normally eight of us and that's how I know we all had eight pints, at closing time some of us went next door to the fish and chip shop, Cod and chips a wally or pickled onion, we would go back to the pub
sit on the wall outside to eat and have a laugh, never any trouble or even a cross word, today you'd probably have a knife stuck in you, cheers.
