Re: 2021 census in the U.K.
The 2021 census in Scotland was moved to 2022 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ah! well, at least from the 2021 and 2022 results being separate we'll know how many we will not have to support in the future north of Nicola's wall

Re: 2021 census in the U.K.
Being as much Scottish as English through parentage I have no idea how my mother would have voted . Having spent most of her life in England I assume she would have discarded the SNP. Her father and my grandfather though have my doubts , spent his old age between 2 of his 3 daughters my mother and her youngest sister. The middle one living in a fantasty world of her own , and claiming lineage to Mary Queen of Scots , and being in touch with her friend Ted Heath, don’t know if he knew about it though. They had all spent most of their lives in England and were all royalist. My grandfather though was a cranky old so,and so , a mischief maker always trying to stir agitation within the family , he was always claiming Scotland was self supporting , whilst at the same time claiming all benefits going , my old man was always happy when it was the younger sisters turn to put up with
him. If the wee Scots lady gets any followers it will be people like my grandad living in the 19 century. JS

Re: 2021 census in the U.K.
In 1986, 1991, and 1996 I worked as a Census collector.00 plus houses to deliver the forms to then collect about two weeks later.
We had to check each one to ensure certain questions had been completed. Pay was very good, about $1.20 per house.
Some of the answers you knew were not correct but nothing you can do.
The on line census came in for the last one.
A total disaster that was but we will go again this year.
The answers some put in were beyond the pale, I for one put two cats in as dependents, well they did depend on us for food and shelter.
Question of religion got some of the best answers and though there were fines for non completion very few copped one.

To any one living in the UK who puts down European as nationality of the form, I would say go and live there.
Staying in UK you are taking up valuable space which could be put to far better use.
