Yes cappy you are certainly one of the elite half dozen plus the few hanger on.The "US" on here are easy to recognise by the posts, one of them posts and the other six tick the like box.I am one of "THEM" I don't belong to cliques or gangs that is what destroys a forum.I see we have been described as "the wrong ones" and been blamed by Rob for attacking them.Rob gave a list of things that they use to attack us,one was "political Jibes" having said that in the previous 4 hours before he posted that he had mentioned Tony Blair twice, thats ok though because he is one of "US".

Jim, I clicked like for that post, i certainly did not see what you are saying into it, it was more a joke was the way i read it. I the same as you think that too much discord will harm the sites would love to get back to the harmony that once abounded here, and the pleasure it gave us. thats why i also clicked 74, kt

Quite honestly I don't think there is a 'them' and 'us' on site, what we do have is robust, and at times very robust, differences of opinion, and we are all entitled to our own opinion. Some take offence, probably myself included, where none is intended, sometimes the nuances of the English language are just as difficult to read as they are to scribe. I do find that on the nautical aspects of the site, when we get back to them, we share and respect each other experiences because we cannot, whoever we are, have an in depth knowledge of the others departments particular traits, although we can generalise but every ship is different and that difference sometimes influenced, for good or bad, by a particular head of department. Politics and religion will always sow seeds of discontent and disharmony, no matter how well meaning a particular scribe posts.

Ivan I only wish that you were correct.when you get a member calling other members "the wrong ones"and another one saying we are being attacked "by them" I would like to know who the "wrong ones" and "them" are.We get new members joining on a daily basis and yet we don't get any new posters, why is this ?is it that they don't like the flavour of the post's.If you look back on post's from some time back you will see that the site was far happier then than now why is that I wonder.
