shocking
###the photo of j caragher spitting in the face of a 14 year old girl footy fan is a marker for some of these overpaid prima donna type characters to try and remember who they really are ...ok they give to charity but that is disgusting ......in contrast to doddy who created humour and laughter even when the possibility of prison in his tax case was imminent ....sad man caragher

Re: shocking
That sounds terrible Cappy but the story hasn’t hit these shores. I gave up watching professional sport a long time ago, have very little regard for some of these so called professional athletes who are unfortuanerley held up as role models. To me I consider it a farce when the likes of a country goes outside it’s own borders to buy people to represent another country but their own. Was the start of the decline of the Olympic Games when they took the title of amateur away from it. The only football match I have ever been to in Australia was when the tickets were given to me. Andonly then went on sufferance. Sport is big business today and there is very little true sportsmanship showing , most are just self posturing infantile thinking imposing themselves on the general public. My views only. And am unlikely to change them at my state of life. True sport had as an example was when to play for Yorkshire in cricket, you had to be a born and bred Yorkshireman. Sorry.. cheers JWS.

Re: shocking
Being a Liverpool fan, absolutely disgusting behaviour and very disappointed Jamie Carragher. Funny though the girls father managed to record all this on his phone while driving at the same time? Still Jamie hang your head in shame not acceptable behaviour.

Re: shocking
There is now no such thing as sport as we knew it, now it is a business.
The players are just business people being paid outrageous wages for kicking a ball, hitting a ball or for some just having a ball.
Held up as hero's by the media, a very poor choice of word, and supposed to be role models.
Spoiled brats would be a far better description of many, brats who think they are something special.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: shocking
Jamie has come out and said he did not see the kid in the car. He has done wrong and he will be extremely embarrassed by it all. As said why was the other guy videoing while driving and #1 must have got that from a well known tabloid that is not even allowed to have there reporters inside Anfield or Goodison Park.

Re: shocking
Well the man's apology on TV sounded sincere . But looking at the harsh reality I'm afraid that a lot of these sports stars get away with Behaving Badly and unfortunately an awful lot of the fans behave even worse I believe that England's rugby coach was verbally abused on a train last week the behavior of fans and players should be jumped on from a great height

Re: shocking
Not particularly on this person mentioned here ( But agree to this being awful) but so many of these Sports Persons of Today that think because they are so to speak Starts! they can and do whatever they want, and walk away frm it scott free at times!
Just recently another of our NRL Rugby Players was in the news about attacking a person and his Family for no apparent reason, other than he was High on drugs or Drink.
He also at first bluntly refused to apologise and was left to play on in his Club!
Why do these sorts get let off so lightly, i say for those who transgress the code of conduct ,that they be banned some for life depending on the severity of the transgression, and others for a very long period! And without any Salary as well.
This will I am sure curb a lot of what is becoming too common in this day and age of Sport! What is left in a lot of Sports now,you go to a Match to enjoy, and get involved in all sorts ,and not even your fault! Hooligans too must be stopped!
Cheers

Re: shocking
totally agree Vernon, Ben Stokes the cricketer is a good example, if his charge, which drags on had been committed by Joe public, it would have been done and dusted yonks ago. this was a brawl on camera outside a night club, and i still believe he will get off Scott free, kt
