I first had a mobile in the car in 1992 with Vodafone , hands free , and have never been without hands-free ever since . the car has a dash cam too , the driver was without a I I doubt not driving with due care and attention , the footballer / commentator should have known better , but hey lets have trial by Facebook and media

I stopped following football in 1969 , I was at the Newcastle United - Glasgow Rangers Night of shame in the Inter city fairs cup May 1969 Newcastle won , Rangers fans acted like wild animals , neverrrr followed football asince

Last time I ever watched a football match , live or on TV was on 9th March 1946, Stoke City V Bolton Wanderers, Stan Mathews and the big names then.
only 33 killed and 500 injured a Man saved my life and two minutes later he was dead. I was 11 years old then, hard to think it was 72 years ago last week.
I ended up with the dead in the corner and was amazed that the linesmen painted a new line on the inside of the dead and the match continued. It was later cancelled when the Ref finally realised the severity of it.
If that is Football don`t want to know, Never missed it.

If I was driving that way I would be more concerned with the lunatic driving and filming the event on his mobile phone?..

Sad for the little girl caught up in all.

Dad should have shut up to begin with and just drove safely,
with a child in his car.

    Keith.

When you hear, as we have here in Oz over the last few weeks, about the 'sledging' that goes on between cricket teams of various nations it is little wonder some spectators behave the way they do.

The media set these players up as something special so the spectators think it is fine for them to do the same.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

That's been my thoughts on cricket for some time John, seems there's more hooligans on the pitch than in the crowd, kt

I see the guy who took the mobile phone footage of the spitting incident is from North Wales and he has had a visit from the police. No further action tobe taken.

Well if he has had a visit from the North Wales police I reckon they will do him. North Wales Traffic police are notorious for being very strict. With good reason as well. The number of Bikers they scrape up off the roads every year they have a zero tolerance.
I read though that the family involved have accepted Jamie's apology and want the matter dropped now, also they have pleaded with Sky Sports not to chop Jamie from his job. Just a moment stupidity by Jamie sadly has tarnished his career and image, hopefully he can bounce back and obviously will have learnt a lot as well. Also hope the father involved has learnt a lesson as well. A bit of banter at football games is part of the fun.

I'm afraid the trial by press and social media takes these things too far not following football I don't know who's actually involved but I do know that we seem to like nothing better in this country than to build somebody up put them on the pedestal then knocked the pedestal away

I wonder how much money the driver of the car has got from the Daily Mirror and all the repeat shows that video made on TV and possibly Utube
