Ah! Algebra! the bane of our lives. Always remember Mr Selby the elderly (probably wasn't, but when your young!) maths teacher 5 foot square and built like a Sumo wrestler trying to get it into our thick heads, his favourite being 'If I've got ten bananas in this hand plus an apple and ten oranges in this hand what have I got' some smartass would always whisper to the next boy 'bloody big hands' old Selby would say nothing, but in the next lesson the miscreant would receive a slap around the back of the head enough to lift you out of your chair and old Selby used to say 'Yes I have, haven't I' never forgot that
