My wife and I have just bought a new TV. We chose a 'Smart TV' not knowing it was any different to an ordinary TV. There is so much on the thing I'm sure it will take me years to learn how to operate it all. However and no doubt a lot of member will know what You Tube is( We didn't but for those of you who may not know please try it) I switched the You Tube section on and the first thing I saw was a program A life in the Merchant Navy, I watched it and it was very interesting it was by a man named John Han, there were a lot of photos including one of your old ships Vernon, no doubt your curiosity will make you find it now. There are dozens of other short films depicting life at sea in our times and up to the present. Hope you enjoy it.

One good thing about smart TV's is that they have catch up TV. This does away with a recorder and shows are available for up to 30 days.
You also have a built in computer, I have tried it works but slow compared with a PC.

One thing I forgot to mention John, you must connect the TV t the internet to get the full functionality of the see.

Hi shipmates, but why do you have a T.V? if you can use a c/puter, you do not need one? unless you like old out of date programs.
