    Default victuals

##often like to go shopping for food mainly cos my beloved likes to feed me fish and chicken .....while i like red meat mince and dumplings etc specially now itgetting clder ...but there is a chicken farm in a village near me thats sells the freshest eggs sometimes still warm ...at 1pound 50 per doz they are large free range and the nearest price in any of the local supermarkets is 1 ound 40 per half doz...proving the profit on eggs in a supermarket .....i have two eggs each morn soft boiled a good breakfast ..which always reminds me of going in the chiller room at sea to turn the eggs after so long ....which they often turned foisty after a while ..an egg at sea on every ship i was on was indeeed a treat in the 50s and 60s ....as we never had an egg a day at home ....cappy

Love my Eggs too cappy! (Now now John) LOL
possibly unlike you at Sea we had Eggs in abundance and I always had at least three Fried Sunny Side up for Brekkie, after feeding the Starving Bloods LOL
Eggs have now been cleared as the naughty Breakfast ,not that it ever worried me. I still have Two Sunny Side up Eggs for Brekkie with Fried Tomatoes on toast! Cheers Yummy! Love those soft Boiled too,but think I can get them just right! No way Hosay! LOL

I get the duck eggs locally here, stronger flavour than chickens, really nice, also free range chicken from the same source. The favourite way to have my tomatoes for breakfast this time of year when i have my own in the garden, is to slice them on to a tray, salt , pepper , brush on copious olive oil and then into the oven for half an hour, delicious, try it, kt

This may not be relevant ,but talking of eggs believe me this is true.As one of four kids during late forties we as a family we used to brambling while out once we came across a hens nest near a farm she the hen had gone broody and was what's known as laying away.this was about 4miles from where we lived ,my mum bless her cotton socks rode an old sit up and beg bike every 3days there and back and making sure nobody saw her collected the eggs this went on for about 2weeks before presumably the farmer must have found the broody hen some memories are precious aren't they happy days
