Well I am sure somewhere you will have tucked up your sleeve how he was cleared of any wrong doing, it would all depend on which article one reads. Let's face it, it has always been very difficult to prosecute a fine upstanding member of the establishment. I think you will find the apology was for not telling Lady Brittain earlier.

That does not say to me he was innocent. Why did the files he was given into child sex abuse by senior MP's and others vanish while he was Home secretary?? .
