###just come in after mowing the small lawn ...then a nice chilled cape rose and abowl of extra large greek green destoned green olives ....temp just about right and the family dog nuzzling in ....what more can an old seaman want .....the beloved is smiling ....mind that could be the wine.....had to put me hat on for the sun...as we say in shields whyyebuggerman i wouldnt call the captain me uncle .........cappy

I checked them out and they were in perfect health. They were glad to see them go 'because they were too old'. They were mostly fantastic and this lasted for a couple of years until someone must have put them wise.
In a Manila supermarket in 1983 there was a bin of 'quick sales' in which there was three bottles of old vintage Chateau d'Yquem Sauternes. I paid the equivalent of A$15 for them.

Wine here in Oz is fast taking over from beer, though beer sales are still good.
Many of our top wines, some the very best, go for export where the price will make a handsome profit for the winery.
Sav Blanc is all the go just now with some very good ones coming in from NZ.
Not many overseas wines on sale here, but why would we import when we have some of the worlds best.
Unlike many of the European one we arte not allowed to add sugar to them, the sun brings out the natural sugar.
We have been advised by medical circles to only drink one glass a day, so I bought a one pint wine glass.
