Hi Jim I have never ever turned on a working man, I have always supported the Miners, I was one once and my brother was a Miner for 40 years. but they were bullied out by threats of Violence against them and their families. by Scargill`s paid Thugs.

Re: the NSRM I knew what was going on, we all did, in their room upstairs in the Black Cat Café in Canning Place. Everyone did after a while. They had a lot of money off us strikers but it was never accounted for and soon disappeared.
Barney Flynn was a Communist, he started a Communist training school in Liverpool in one of the pubs on the Dock Road and some of their "Graduates" even went to Moscow for further training in Industrial sabotage.
Paddy Neary was also a Communist, I was there the day he was arrested for making a speech by the side of the Sailors Home after Cunard put a High Court Injunction on him if he made a speech., He was married with four children, No Benefits for that, so the Communist Party kept his wife and kids supplied with food and money for the rent.
Afterwards he back to Northern Ireland and then died there.

re; being stopped from going onto the motorway by the Police. Scargill`s Thugs were on motorway bridges dropping lumps of Concrete onto miners cars who were still going to work, They killed some miners that way as the concrete went through the windscreens..
So you were stopped for your own safety until the problem was sorted.
