Is she the Clan Alipne(1) built 1878 later the 'Elmdene'.
Out of Interest I have just found the answere to your first question, the one Chris got correct, on the same site as I got this reply.

The Clan Line has had lots of conections with so many other companies as I am finding out but for the life of me i cann't find any hint as to sailing ships. Just have to keep looking though.

Ok Guys and Gals a clue.
210g. 210n. 92.2.x 24.2 x 14.3 feet
1878: First appears in Lloyds Register, Owner registered Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Nov.1879: Application for Cayzer, Irvine and Co. to the BOT for application of name change, application granted. The application stated she was now English owned.
Registered Liverpool.

I can find no record of a third sailing ship.
1st was Jalawar
2nd was North Star
After that came Clan Alpine and then lots and lots of other Clans although the early ones carried a full set of sails they also had compound steam engines.
The Thomas Dunlop ships had no connection with Cayzer
