Here is what Sir Winston Churchill said about Free Speech.:-
Everybody is in favour of free speech and hardly a day passes without its being extolled, but some people's idea of it is, that they are free to say what they like, but, if anyone says something back, that is an outrage.

    FOURO.

If the polls are to be believed then the current gov is gone. Labor will form some sort with the Greens and SNP. There is then every chance the SNP will demand another vote on independence.

It would appear across the globe in many countries thee is a push for more socialist style govs. We have the same problem here In Oz Labor kicked out 18 months ago with the economy in a mess, Liberals try o get things back on track which means some pain for some of the people. Failure t fix the problem will see grand id and their kids having to fix it. But no, the people are so used to hand outs from Labor they want them back. But beware, no country can continue on such a course, to so will see many, including UK and Oz ending up in the situation Greece now finds itself in. No country can live beyond its means for too long, and no country can continue to pay millions daily in interest on monies borrowed. So ask your self, what future do you want for future generations, a county that continues to be prosperous or one deep in debt with little future ahead where the populous rely on gov had outs, or one that can say to the world we now have it al!

As not being due a vote in the UK unless returned to live there, I really feel for the British people and the ones having to evaluate between not much in the way of choice. Both the main parties the country is going to be stuck with Europe whether they like it or not, and is all blether and vote catching when talking about a peoples choice on the future with same. The only consolation from the political situation is I hope it makes the Australian people more aware of the power that politicians have in either making or breaking their country. They are put in a place of trust to better the country which an awful lot have failed to do. The less power they have is apparently the only answer for some, and every move they make should be viewed for any ulterior motives. Their apparent ease at sending troops to alien countries and wars not concerning themselves, if time permitting, should be questioned more often. Being able to shuffle armed men around world at will doesn't seem to sit right with me. Always reminds me of these old retired Generals shuffling lead soldiers around favourite old battle stations and reliving strategies and wars and lives they lost in the first place. JS

There are some who now think that business men of quality would be better to run the country. , Basicaly the concept is that the country should be run as a business, will it work, who knows but unless someone can come up with a better system than the current I think it is worth a go.

Fill Parliament with bankers. Then, instead of having the power without responsibility, they'll have to accept the responsibility as well.

Banks here in Oz are hated by many because of the profits they make. But what many forget is that the majority of shares are held by supperanuation funds so the dividends go there, good for all. Also many are held by 'mum and dad' investors who love the profits.n

Glasgow Rangers are investigating after it emerged that a newly appointed director at Ibrox apparently twitted a sexually explicit cartoon of the prophet Mohammed.
Chris Graham was appointed as a non-executive director on Tuesday.
On 7th January shortly after two gunmen had shot dead 12 people at the offices of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris,
the radical ....mist preacher Anjem Choudray sent a message on Twitter which read " freedom of expression does not extend to insulting the prophets of Allah, whatever your views on the events in Paris today".
Mr Graham apparently replied by sending a cartoon depicting the prophet Mohammed engaged in an explicit homosexual act.
Part of the message accompanying the drawing read, " you probably won't like this then".
Mr Graham's Twitter account is now restricted from public view.

    FOURO.
