Re: Global Warming
No mention of Global Warming or Greens a hundred plus years ago.
Sunday 9th July. 1911.
US:
652 deaths in a week reported during a heat wave.
Wednesday. 9th August. 1911.
London: Hottest day in the capital for 70 years-- 97 degrees Fahrenheit in the shade.
Saturday. 26th August. 1911.
London: Reported that 2500 children have died in the recent heat wave.
Monday. 28th August. 1911.
London:Thousands die in record heat wave.
The recent record-breaking heat wave with temperatures of up to 97 degrees has set Britain's death rate soaring.
With a mortality rate for all ages of 19 per 1,000. London is now the most unhealthy city in the world.
It is children who are most at risk. During the last week of July, 382 children of up to the age of two died in the city.
In the week just ended, the figure rocketed to 855. Questions are being asked as to whether the authorities have done
all they could to counter the distressing loss of life.
Year later the complete opposite.
Monday. August. 26th 1912.
UK: Worst August rainfall on record - six inches in 12 hours - causes floods that cut off Norwich and other towns.

Re: Global Warming
The arrogance of man, thinks that we can control the weather. Where is this global taxation being spent???. They cannot control the spread of ISIS, never mind the weather. Man with its wars is causing more global warming, plus the acceleration of people on the planet. One day man will no longer be on the planet, and earth will still go on with its many changes, KT

Re: Global Warming
The Earths Co2 is somewhere around about 330ppm (parts per million) less than 1%.
If you were to remove every living animal, insects and of course man from the earth, the earth would background Co2 would be somewhere around 280ppm.
You do the maths

Re: Global Warming
I have a couple of friends, have some more but they do not fit into this bit, one works for the weather department in California, the other is a ships magnetic compass adjuster.
Both tell me the fact is the earth has shiffted about half a degree on its axis. Hence the ice on one side of the antartic is thicker and wider then ever recorded, whilst on the other side not so good.
USA and China signa bit of paper, 'we will cut green house emmisions'
By the time comes to measure the difference both countries will have new leaders with different ideas. Political bulldust is all it is.

Re: Global Warming
Washington we have a problem. There was the president telling the world we must do something about global warming, the Antartic is melting you know and the seas will rise and wash us all away.
Well today on the news an interesting piece.
A submarine drone, a new concept, was lowered under the ice of the Antartic. Until now there had been no real way of measuring the ice to a full possible extent. From space scientists now say the ice at the Antartic is the biggest ever recorded and the drone shows that it is up to 16 meters thick. Oh dear, globa lwarming???????????????????????

Yep but we don't know how big or deep it was until this space record, it still may have shrunk because we never knew how big or deep it was prior these recordings, just playing devil's advocate!

Re: Global Warming
Undoubtedly the climate is changing, but to blame man is ludicrous. Scientists are ignoring previous weather patterns an peddling their own agenda.
