Well I'm probably a car salesmans best friend, I've had 38 cars over the years, well I don't smoke, not a heavy drinker and my wife won't let me have another woman, so a fairly new car has always been my weakness, had Renault, Peugot, Audi, Morris, Austin, Ford, BMW, Subaru, Saab, Mercedes of all descriptions B Class, C Class E Class, CLK's Rover and a couple more I cannot remember. favourite driving car Subaru turbo's, most comfortable Rover, Worst and most unreliable BMW, favourites Mercedes, most practical Renault Scenic

Yes the Rover, once known as the poor mans Rolls were great I had a couple when in the pubs, so comforatble and reliable. Apart from my Land Rover most probalbly the best car I ever owned.
We had the Lada here in Oz back in the early 80's but never see them now.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Always loved the Jaguar.
Never had one, but it's on my 'Bucket List'
When I left the sea, I worked in the Jag factory.
Only lasted a week, but that's another story.

Yes Den, putting Tab Nabs in the glove box as atreat for the buyer was not their idea of good customer service.

Brilliant Marian, I had a 1972 Peugeot 404 wagon with the extra seat when we were living in Kinclaven under the name of Quartermaine International, Tours of Scotland, to get the extra cash. I was once hired to take seven holidaying women Welsh pub owners from Perth to Crieff, Loch Earn, Oban, Ballachulish, Glencoe (and that lovely white inn there) and back to Perth over two days. What a wonderful bunch of happy ladies that was a great pleasure to see and sharing enjoying their friendship and excitement of getting away from work and whooping it up. They sang and one couldn't so she came in with dialogue perfectly. One of the highlights in life. And, no you frisky fellahs; it wasn't spoilt with hanky panky!!

Was out of action with Montezuma's Revenge in Katoomba hospital for a week then another to run an intravenous antibiotic to tackle the thrombophlebitis in my arm where they inserted the cannula on arrival. I was supposed to stay in hospital but Margaret was at home, the internet provider had an outage that stuffed my modem, the carpet layers had brought the wrong carpet from 50 kms away and had already torn up the old one and had the underlay and hooks laid when the wrong carpet came off the truck. Cleo the pooch hurt her hip, the oral antbiotics I have to take for another week give me the ***** and apart from that everything in the garden's lovely.
Only got on line properly today and am looking forward to catching up with the posts.
