madness of this club we belong
After the maximum of 1600 watt dust collectors, next up hairdryers and electric kettles. Can anyone explain to me in simple terms how a lower wattage kettle is more efficient to boil a pint of water, because it completely baffles me, KT

Re: madness of this club we belong
My Hoover Vauum Cleaner was 30 years old, nothing wrong with it, so I gave it to Mencap Charity shop to sell. then I have just bought a 2200 vacuum, so if I use this one for 30 years li8ke the first one, the year will be 2044, I will be nearly 110 years old..
SO the question is how much damage to the weather systems will I cause in the next 30 years just hoovering my lounge carpet.?
When I see tanks operated by IS in Iraq pumping out tons of black smoke.
I see homes and buildings in eastern Ukraine burning, creating tons of carbon smoke, encouraged by these same european berstereds who do not want me to hoover my carpet with my new cleaner.
They will ban my torch next as it has two batteries in and make us have a torch that only takes one battery.
.
Now our stupid politicions have surrendered this once great nation to a bunch of foreign berstereds after over a million men and women Died fighting to keep these same berstereds out of our once great nation.
These same idiots a few years ago wanted cube tomatos, straight bananas, Civil Liberties for m slim fanatics hell bent on destroying our once great nation.
The Lunatics have taken over the Lunatic Asyulum.
Brian.

Heard are on the radio today the next big thing they are going to tackle is toasters. Never mind the illegals in Calais, the horrific killings in Syria or the break up of the United Kingdom re the Scotland debacle. Toasters are far more important. I am praying to God that the Conservatives win the next election (not that I think they are any better than the rest) so we can get this referendum on Europe and lets get out of this madhouse.
Regards
John

Think you will find they will ban the four slice toaster and only allow the two slice. Goodness knows what you are supposed to do with the rest of the loaf!!

Re: madness of this club we belong
Hi All.
{Second time I have written this, Comp closed down] A few months ago I read that the volcanic explosion in Greenland/Iceland a few years ago released the equivalent of 25 years of human carbon dioxide emissions thus cancelling out any small futile efforts we have made in that time. I believe that the planet is getting warmer, [Hope it hurries up it's bloody freezing down here in Cooma] What I can't understand is the shortsightedness of our politicians in not building massive solar energy areas in the middle of Australia, with our summers and soon to be our winters as well; we could supply the world with power. There is one small six acre one near Canberra that only took them about twelve months, but they are more intent on building wind farms, massive costly turbines and we don't exactly have hurricanes here. They're next one will be to get the whole world to take a deep breath to get rid of the carbon dioxide.
Cheers Des

#6.... You can bet your bottom dollar when and only if you do get the vote, it wont be a straight yes or no, it will be worded in political hogwash which will leave them a loophole for staying in. Have you ever heard a politician answer a straight question, if you have hang on to him he is an extreme rarity. They will always as a last reserve answer a question with another question, what do you think they spend all those years at university getting a degee in political awareness for. The few we have had over the years who are more honest than most dont last too long in politics. JS

What are you complaining about, it has not been that warm down here in Melbourne.
Birmingham university three year study found wind turbines to be the least efficient and most expensive form of power manufacturing.
The greens want to increase the amount of solar panels in the dessert, then some one told them the sun does not shine at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1750, time of the industrial revolution, worlds population estimated at about one billion. 2014 world population cloae to 8 billion. An eight fold increase in the amount od carbon dioxide expelled, as well as an equivalent increase inlive stock thta also produce Co2. So the answer to stop all the Co2 is for all of us to stop breathing, problem solved.
