Re: Floods
Spoke with my sister Sunday, she lives in West Sussex and she tells me it is very bad in some parts there. I understand the Army is doing food drops in parts of Somerset it is so bad there.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Floods
I noticed that the BBC gave just less than 30 seconds to show LORD SMITH visiting the flooded area in the south, on the lunch time news. It did not show any of the victims of the floods trying to speak to him.
To me that speaks volumes of the bias of the BBC people in charge.

Re: Floods
John Albert, what were the floods in Wales circa Oct 60 Feb 61.I was on a tanker the Hamilton, the chf engr cut a brush pole down so that it fitted between his settee and the bell in his cabin. He jammed this in there so that the bell in the pantry was on full time to annoy the stewards!!! The excuse for his behaviour was that his mothers house was flooded in a Welsh flood and he was concerned.
Regards.
Jim.

Re: Floods
I have just been listening to the BBC news, and is it just me?, I am sick of hearing bloody politicians trying to score points off of each other, hoping to gain votes. These are people with water pouring through their homes, not a means of trying to gain popularity. Lots of these people can be seen pulling together and helping one another, we should expect this shower to be doing the same in this emergency, not sat on their ars** bickering in parliament, KT
