Re: The Romancers
Up to this present time there have been 992 viewers of this thread with 89 replying. Obviously a popular theme.
Yet when started it was met with a barrage of abuse and even moronic threats.
There will be many seamen and others who have an interest in the sea and shipping who will be deterred from contributing to this site if they are going to be judged and have their views and opinions belittled by a minority.
A mixed crowd always made for a happier ship.

Hi Fly,
I have not seen anything of a Barrage of abuse or even Moronic threats in all the replies.
Yes , various comments , but certainly Not Abuse and threats.
You must be a little touchy, you must learn to roll with the punches.
Use a little Humour, accept that seafarers do tell yarns, all part of the job. and after forty years surely you must have sailed with some characters and had some strange encounters and adventures, I sure did in my 43 years of seafaring on all types of vessels everywhere.
I still have a lot of adventures, and at near 79 years of age in a few weeks, I am off round the planet for my annual adventure trip in nine days to whatever is instore for me, back in March with more stories of what ever happens to me.
Enjoy life, we only have the one. I have very nearly lost it many times, Now I enjoy.
Seafaring is Stranger than Fiction.
Cheers
Brian

Re: The Romancers
Went to confession and the priest refused absolution. Or the priest was your father. Or the priest was your mother who had a sex change in later life and took up the priesthood. Or the priest didn't like your confession and put his fist through the side of the confessional box at you. Your clue coming from above assume refers as something on the lines of a religion. Or the voice coming from above was not male as most assume but was a voice of a 16 year old female virgin(extremely hard to find these days) Or more simply could of been by the Grace of God you won the football pools. Cheers John Sabourn
