Hugh, god bless him, recommended contact with Maritime Archives here in Canada where in fact the 1952, 1953 logs of the SS Largs Bay are stored. Thanks Hugh
I was fortunate enough to receive all the records related to my father's last voyage including the time and location when his body was committed to the sea - 05.00 October 11, 1952 14,41N 42,17E
Regrettably this area is currently in turmoil due to attacks on shipping vessels and one wounders if or when it will be stable enough to venture a visit.
I wish you all the best of Chritmases, I know you made mine.

Hey Stan, happy to tell you i'm in Southern Ontario , County of Dufferin, Town of Mono, 2 minute drive from the village of Hockley (on map)
Best look for Hockley in Ontario.
