PSNC Crew Lists
Does anyone know how to get access to Crew Lists? I'm sure they exist, but where?
I am trying to get the list for my 1st or 2nd voyages on the Cuzco. On the 1st, we were in Callao in January 1960, but I do not know the voyage number. The memorable thing for me, apart from it being my very first deep sea voyage, was that soon after we started across the Atlantic (after Liverpool to Santander to Lisbon), it was announced that Compulsory Military Service was to end. As many of the Junior Engineers went to sea in preference to wasting 2 years in the Army, that was the sign for great celebrations! As a first tripper, having just incurred a debt equal to over 3 months wages to pay for my uniform, I continued for another 2 plus years - going from PSNC to Port Line - before swallowing the anchor. I now go to sea in a 32-foot launch in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland. Smoother waters!
Cheers, Mike
