Re: UK National Grid
Some of the BBC news on the net is odd to say the least.
The bit about black outs came from there.
It is them forecasting a bad winter, but for what?
The economic situation according to them is similar to that of Italy just before the war.
I know things may be a bit tough but that is going a bit far.
But maybe Charles knows something, his coronation on a Saturday, no need to pay for a public holiday.
Tight bugger.

Re: UK National Grid
Saw an article today on the net about a guy in USA who has designed a wind turbine for use on individual houses.
Cheaper than solar and will work in places where there is not much sun.
Similar to one developed by a local undertaker in the town where we live.
Tried to sell it to various govs but no luck.
In the end Sold the patent to China for a very good sum.

The B&Q DIY chain were selling them here many years ago for about £1800 each, they could only produce about 500watts, which was totally useless for the average house,
I had established contact with a Chinese firm who could sell me a 2kw set up much cheaper, however when I got in touch with the local planning dept. they could not say if I needed planning permission and that I should make an application (£300) to find out; I argued that if they could not give me an indication then why would I chuck that much money away on a gamble. End of story. I later fitted solar panels (2015), which can produce 3.8kw on a good day.
