Re: Suggestion for punishment
Superwoman may be a better choice John , maybe she could fix his wrinkley bits at the same time. He has certainly not done too good for the name of his country. A long way from the shades of Balaclava , where the Americans were in Russia’s court against the British and French. History is a Hot Potch of various scenarios, today people just pick out the bits they want , and throw paint on their statues and desecrate their graves, That’s far enough to vent their feelings I suppose , would be better though if they paid the price for doing so . Re: Suggestion for punishment
That was one of the cheapest things in Murmansk in the People’s Duty Free , I say people’s but applied only to us foreigners . Vodka , together with fur hats musquash no less, tins of Roes Sturgeon , and shotguns no less , dirt free almost.although the Russians that I saw must have had their own access to the vodka as there was a lot of staggerers . Looked very much like seamen with a western ocean roll. JS should have said caviar for Roes Sturgeon . JS

Re: Suggestion for punishment
We were allowed ashore way back in about 64, but guards everywhere.
Some bars we were allowed in but watched all the time, but they were good in one way, took us back to the ship.
