Gb News
A new TV news channel launched last night.
The channel claims that it will be politically neutral and unbiased.
The BBC as usual are doing all in its power to stifle the birth.
Apparently in the UK there is a news pooling agreement which allows all news channels to share any news or film clips. BBC has blocked all sharing agreement from the new channel and as such GB News is threatening legal action against the BBC.

Re: Gb News
Many here have known the BBC in its better days Vic, too many shows to name, from the very best sitcoms, dramas and nature etc to "Highbrow",
once affectionally known as Auntie, it has been transformed into a very biased mouthpiece for the left wing politically correct luvvie snowflakes and has become a very unfunny Woke Joke at the licence payers expense, I've always thought Andrew Neil is a very good presenter and wish him every successs,
the BBC are on borrowed time and are looking over their shoulder, hopefully a way will be found to scrap the TY Licence, it's disgraceful people are
forced to pay for something the do not watch, it all started with one station, BBC 1 and then BBC2, along came ITV, now there are so many Free View
we are spoilt for choice, but we still have to pay for something we hardly, "if ever" watch. Cheers

Re: Gb News
I agree entirely Lewis, Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's part of free speech which is a part of Democracy, I gave my opinion on what
has happened to a once great BBC and I stand by my words. You don't like Andrew Neil for reasos stated, I don't like Jeremy Corbyn, enough said,
until recently you too lived in France and you certainly made your own views public, as you say you think I talk utter rubbish, for utter rubish, read
your own post, that's all I'm saying to you as I think you are just trying to kick things off, maybe the site has been to peaceful for your liking lately.

Re: Gb News
The British Biased Corporation is not unlike our Australian Biased Corporation, very biased indeed here.
Thankfully there is no license here which makes it easier to tolerate.
But watching the presenters and the 'news hounds' at times makes me cringe at what they put up.
Any bit of info from Labor gets front billing, and they will go out of their way to rubbish the Liberal Gov of the day.
They also have a way of distorting the facts to suit their agenda.
They have a program Q&A, supposed questions from an audience in the studio.
But the ones there to answer are mainly from the WOKE or JOKE section of the community.
Apart from watching the news until the finance section comes on there is very little worth watching.
We do get some UK series at times and that is about all they are good for.

Re: Gb News
i watched the new GB news yesterday it was a breath of fresh air ....it made the mistakes any new project would make on its debut but the lighter attitude of the presenters was a delight ....after the constant gestapo like attitude of mainly all of the BBC crowd of lately..i stopped more or less watching the getapo like tactics after hearing the diana disgrace ...... the constant bellowing of femme type accusers towards ministers of the crown is a disgrace to broadcasting .....it appears they think by constantly reapeating parrot like points in stentorian sergeant major mode they will get the answer they WOULD like to hear.....not much short of hitler type tirades in the 40s....just my view and i look forward to the more english type broadcasting of the past on the new station .......ps i am not backing iether of vernons protaganists ....but loud voices do tend to piss me off ...............R683532

cappy I sincerely hope that by Loud Voices you are not referring to my Capitol Text! Just wondering! I did that because it is necessary at times to get my point through!

Re: Gb News
reply to 5: Hi John, when we had BBC 1+2, ITV&ch4, the BBC for the first time had real competition, to their credit they reacted admirably, and
began producing some really good stuff, in those days the licence fee was pretty good value and most people paid up without complaint, in the
70s to 90s the BBC made some world class sitcoms that are still watched by many from around the world, in those days comedians could tell a
joke without resorting to bad language, but today the BBC has so much more competition that they don't seem to be able to keep up and have
gone into decline, that's why people complain about paying the BBC licence fee so they can watch the free view stations.
I remember going through Sydney in a cab, I think 1957, when I saw a large group of people outside a shop window, the cab driver said the were watching TV
, cheers.
