Re: Dreams
Just been listening to The Righteous Brothers singing Unchained Melody.
What a voice, and what a song.
I used to sit on the hatch in the evening, playing it on my harmonica.
Happy memories.

Re: Dreams
Saturday night back from the restaurant, when we are not in lock down that is, we put U tube on for the music.
The selection is amazing with all the old ones from the 50;s on.
Roy often pops up along with Bruce Springfield who started with him.
It may just be nostalgia but the music of those days is far better than some of the crap today, the ones who can screech the loudest get a play it appears.
The Beatles arrived in Adelaide the day we arrived in Melbourne on the Paparoa.
Great times, fantastic music, will the world ever see better??

I gave all my vinal records to my daughter, years ago, she still has them and plays them. Me I'm all up to date with my cd collection, I was listening to the Big O yesterday, my best are the Shadows, with a close second Pavarotti, different I know but love all music.

Re: Dreams
The second steward asked me why I was late getting back to the ship.
I had no real reason, a bit of grog and a female are no reason to be late.
So doubt a bloody logging with him in charge, he never liked me or a number of the other wingers.
Sure enough that was it, up to the old mans cabin again, half way up and suddenly the curtains opened , her in doors had got up early, will never know now if I was logged or not.

#1 Doc, well you've gone and put that song in my head now, can't help singing the words in my mind. Plenty of room for it my wife said.

John I couldn't resist it. Keeping with the Roy Orbison.

Re: Dreams
Hi, I was a young apprentice at English Electric Liverpool when the Beatles played at the Empire Theatre 1963 ? Roy O was the opening act and friend of mine said he brought the house down even , heresy, outshining the Beatles.
