Default Thank you for your service

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your service. Without you and the sacrifices you made or still make for your work everything grinds to a halt. It takes a special person to leave family and their life for weeks on end, facing danger for the greater purpose and it’s appreciated.

Some members here, particularly Hugh and Doc Vernon also took the time to research a dear family member’s history for me and were able to find information using their expert knowledge that I simply couldn’t get my head around. As a result I have information I will treasure the rest of my life and pass to my family, my daughter and everyone who comes after me. That is absolutely priceless and I can’t thank them enough. I’m not a bad genealogist so I’ll pay it forward and help someone else in return, but I wanted to publicly acknowledge you.

With good wishes to you all, Jess

It is replies such as this that make you realise good honest people still exist.
In the world the way it is just now it is so refreshing to see such thanks.
More important is the fact that this lady now has the info she requires which in turn means the history of the BMN will live on for longer.
Thank you kind lady for you most welcome comments.

Thank you for those words Jessica, the volunteer researchers do give a lot of their time (and money) to help others and your words are appreciated by us all for their efforts and its nice to know that there are still nice people out their who appreciate their work.

Those are touching words, Jessica. As a fellow genealogist I've been saddened when folk who seek a family tree often take from other's years of dedication without acknowledgement. But not today. Well done.
