    Default Fit

Looking at old photos of our deep sea days the one thing that stands out is how lean, fit and healthy we were.
Life in the sunshine, good food mostly (although some always complained) and plenty of exercise.
A crew of strangers on signing on day soon became the best of friends, laughing and joking together even when being tossed about in heavy weather or when the beer ran out.
We made the right choice at 15 or 16 year old boys to go to sea. All good things eventually end but it was a great life while it lasted.

When I went to sea I was about 11 stone ringing wet.
Now at about 12 stone or 90 kilos.
Fell fit and well, still climbing ladders and trying to stay out of trouble.
    Drink, of course I do.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Keith you said what we all think ha ha!
A chief cook once asked me if I had done the Charles Atlas course, I said no, just the Joe Shell one. Took a minute for the penny to drop.

John, can I borrow your scales please? or is an Australian kg lighter than a European kg. Maybe I am big boned , cannot claim to be hung like a donkey.
While young always worked at staying fit but yes could eat and drink what I fancied. Once I hit 60 it was getting hardeer to keep the weight off. Disgusted with myself now just over 15 stone or 95 kg.
John just a heads up 90kgs is just over 14 stone cut down on the drink or the spuds!!!

Hungry Harrisons out of Liverpool with their Two of Fat one of Lean diet would help keep the pounds off.
