Help! :)
Hi!
I was wondering if I could get some help, my great uncle George Wood was an assistant steward in the Merchant Navy. Unfortunately he died in 1970 on the caernarvonbrook due to a fire when he was 19, there's always been mystery surrounding this and I was wondering if anyone had any information about it. I know him and another person died that day, the story we have is that an AB was drunk and caused the fire somehow, I've also heard something about an AB and suicide.
I'm just looking for closure for my granny, she misses her brother still 51 years on.
Any information or anyone who knew George and has any stories about him would be amazing.

Re: Help! :)
Have you any idea as to where the Ship was at the time of the Fire!?
May help us!
There is one George Wod listed in Deaths at Sea but it was in Santiago Chili, and date stated as 1971 , but errors are made!
Another listing is a Cecil George Wood, year of 1969 , but again in Paris France
Cheers
