Hi Fouro. This is one closer to home. The Vital Spark from Para Handy. It is in the boat yard in Crinan, being rebuilt for some years now. A new boiler from Cochran's at cost price. While re-plating the found the original name, AULD REEKIE. Cochran have an article on the web. https://cochran.co.uk/news/general/the-vital-spark
When in Crinan some years back, the Vital Spark was lying along side her future in doubt when I took this photo.

Re: History of Puffer Vic 32.
Hello everyone,
It makes one think, but it could easily have taken place, that a Puffer or Puffers (the Davids) could have taken supplies to HMS Hood (the Goliath) before the Pride of the Royal Navy departed from Scapa Flow to hunt for the Bismarck.

Fouro.

Re: History of Puffer Vic 32.
In addition to 'Auld Reekie' as previously mentioned, used in filming ,they also used VIC72 for the fictional Clyde Puffer 'Vital Spark'..
