Re: Lidl
Most on here will be familiar with those far east trips-- wonder if there might be a berth or two for some ancient Mariners aboard here and perhaps a staff discount in the slopchest.

Re: Lidl
Looks like Colesterol on steroids if you ask me.
All we have here in Oz is Aldi, nothing special about them but popular with a lot of people.
Prices not that much lower for many goods then the regular supermarkets.
Do not get the weekly specials such as in the others.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Lidl
Dony use Aldi much at all, only for Chocalates for her Indoors as she says the Chaseur Dark is the best. Also have found that they do seem to stock the best packs of Meats Chickens etc! Bought a pack of Southern Fried last Week, in the Oven for 40min , and i must say Tender and Juicy a lot better than Kentucky! Which to me is always too dry!
Cheers
Sometimes as well they have South African Week on and sell goods that i always eat!

Re: Lidl
For us the only thing any good from Aldi is the imports at Christmas.
They do a good range at reasonable prices, but do not try the Hot Cross Buns.
Looked at some the other day, looks ads if they had been put out before fully defrosted.
