Jeez I think that some of you blokes ought to go back to sea. Chinese working for a bowl of rice!! they have better living conditions that many in Britain, the reason their industries are so busy is because since the war they have worked the ******** of the people, but now like after the British industrial revolution they are reaping the rewards, and they don't want a fat Aus politician telling them how to run their country, when his own in in deep shite. Our interest rates are now down to half of one percent, but don't worry the reserve bank said they can print as much money as the country needs, shades of Italy after the war. China has stopped imports of Aus cotton!! what the hell is Australia growing cotton for in one of the driest country's in the world, big cotton farmers are stealing water from the small farmers in order to keep going, complete bastwards.

PS we are having Jap warships training with Aus to contain China an ally during the war which after all is in living memory, ask the old Anzacs.

I forget what year money was actually invented , previous it was letters of credit , and previous to that just straight bartering. I do remember however in my lifetime that song "Money is the root of all Evil " , a very apt and true word if people had not danced to it and just repeated the words to themselves one may of been more knowledgeable today. No matter what war is going on past present and future it is all started by some politician and the root cause is money , be it Trade embargoes or Agreements. There will always be the Spivs ,Rogues and just outright villains wanting to take advantage wherever money is concerned , money is power and anything can be obtained if you are down by the head with it. PS Cappy is very wealthy . I give all mine to Charity. Cheers JS

The cost of any goods is a reflection of the wage content.
Yes there are many small craft selling very well to those with the funds.
But for Joe Blow in the street all he wants is fair quality gods for the lowest possible cost.

As to the spat with China and Oz, more toi do with our relationship with Donald than any thing else.
China prefer Joe to Don and the majority of goods sole by Oz to China are the ones they need.

Iron ore, coking coal, grain, and sea food, items they cannot get so easily from other countries.
It is our global location that makes us better suited to meet their needs.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Would agree with all you say des ...apart from the chinese people being well off ......the elite live like kings ......but the poorer are hidden away never to be seen ....the chinese are very inscrutable ..the government as a whole are one of the worlds greatest poker players .....they do not back down.....and at the moment are holding all the cards.....they thrive on the backs of the poor hence the price of all goods can beat anyone but in time this will change like india we see thousands with wealth ...but millions on millions living in extreme poverty......if we do not buy from them or sell to them there will be world war 3.....regards cappy

    hi des
with respect i dont think so, the area my mate had a warehouse in granada ,( spain ) the whole area was over run with chinese, and apart from my mate and a couple of ( spanish )one next door to him and one across the road, they had the whole import warehouses stitched up, and i know for a fact that they and their families all lived in their individual warehouses, and i also know that they all seemed to eat just rice, with greens and never seemed to be eating anything else.
