Its like the giant windmills that are springing up everywhere. The magnets are produced from rare earth metals, and to get these metals the earth is flushed with highly toxics chemicals. The chemicals are causing allsorts of health problems to the miners, but these figures are not included in the final calculations.
Its the same with new tram systems, C02 figures for the build/ construction are not included in the build / operation. Neither are figures for the delay in traffic caused by the trams in narrow streets.

A lot of days renewable energy systems were developed and assessed on a 25-year cycle when they set up a whole wind turbine Farm off the Isle of Skye the wind turbines were fed back to the mainland with 35 miles of copper cable which they casually omitted to include in the carbon balance once you included in the carbon balance then the whole thing became and and viable proposition this is why I am very much anti the green lobby I do believe if you have to run on massaged results then it's not worth doing the figures
