Re: Sidney Griffiths 1908.
My god Hugh you are certainly thorough with your answer. My Sidney John Griffiths was defininatly born in Bedwellty Monmouthshire in about 1908. That being the case the man that served on the Highland Prince and Kingsborough and born in Burryport is not my uncle.
Thank you hugh, for clarifying that.
I have no proof that my Sidney ever served in the M.N.,or any other career come to that, Just thought my father may have followed his brother into the service or vice versa. I think my query has been answered.
Thanks once again,
Ray.

Re: Sidney Griffiths 1908.
No worries Ray, glad to have helped at least rule this man out of your search. Do you need any help with your uncle or are you happy with what you have on him?
Regards
Hugh

Re: Sidney Griffiths 1908.
Without other information it is difficult to help more, you may find both sites below useful.
They are both free and may just require logging on.
Just name and e.mail.
https://www.familysearch.org/search
https://www.freebmd.org.uk/
It would be great to here how you get on.
If you can narrow down by name, area date etc, then mothers name would be a key.
Wish you every success.
Also reiterate all thanks to those on site that assisted.
Regards Keith.
