    Hello Des
    I think he was on that Ship but got Sick near Scotland so they took him to the Hospital there at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness Scotland where he Died in 1943.

    Hi Theresa,

    Looks like some of the medals have become mixed up over time. Looking at your post #12 second attachment, left, you have The British War Medal ribbon (WW1) attached to the WW2 Defence Medal. Middle, you have the War Medal (WW2) without its ribbon. On the right that is indeed the Burma Star although it doesn't show that medal on his medal file held at Kew in piece BT 395/1/51468 but it may be the case that the medal entitlement was incorrect when issued originally.

    Attached below is the correct medal and ribbon for the Defence Medal (WW2), War Medal (WW2), the British War Medal WWI.

    I am so Confused The Ribbons you show dont look like the ones I have. I am trying to piece them together.
    Looking at the 3 pages of Medals I already have.
    Sorry I am a Dunce when it comes to things like this.

    Its been awhile since i was on here. I still cant find any out on the 1st Ship you said My Great Grand Father was on. You said he Joined the St Petersburg on
    23/9/1919. Do you know anything on this Please.
