    Default Tony Blair

Anyone watch the Sky News yesterday 17/2/17 Tony Blair gave a speech re Brexit. Love him or loathe him he did ask some pertinent questions
regardless of being pro or remain.
When you look at the current crop of so called politicians at least he could get his point across. The rights or wrongs of Iraq have sadly tainted him. Looking at so called opposition parties in the commons today just wish they could find another untainted Blair type Labour or LibDem leader. As Blair said we have a government today who are only focusing on making Brexit up as they go along.
Something I hate reading in the papers is how the DWP have started to refer to the state pension as a BENEFIT.
Okay standing by for incoming abuse lol.

No abuse Lewis. Saw him on TV the other day and would of thought he would want to keep his nose below the parapet. I don't particular like the man as a person for what I see how he was the cause of partially of the state of Britain today. However he appears to want to once again be a leader in political debates, with so many in the country against his past policys maybe he fancies his chances so to speak. I certainly didn't like his theme of going back for a referendum which is going to put the whole country in turmoil, but like many others he is a USA watcher and thinks there may be a chance. To me he is rubbish and will always be so, he is a good orator the same as all politicians have to be to get anywhere. Apart from that he has nothing going for him as far as I am concerned, but there again I am not eligible to vote in the UK unless came back to live. Most people in the UK now from what I have seen when I come back every so often are such a mixed race of people politically and religion wise could go anywhere, but do think the vote on the referendum was the first and only vote and should be carried out to the peoples expectations. Who knows this will be the very last time to make their wishes known. There should be no further arguments on the subject. To me Bliar should keep his snout out, his days meddling are finished. Regards JS

I watched BLAIR'S speech to that Institute and it nearly cost me a fortune as within minutes of seeing his mealy mouthed toothy face spouting **** coupled with his hand waving made me so angry I wanted to throw my shoe at the T.V. Somebody in the audience should have tossed their shoe at him, insulting him in the Arabic way.
This is a man who I have to admit I actually voted for when he won his first term as P.M. believing that his "New Labour" was a genuine movement that would be good for the country. I quickly realised my mistake when I realised that between him and his "canny" Chancellor the pair of them were throwing such huge amounts of our money around for it to be unsustainable.
    This is the man who:-
Led us into war in Iraq on a lie.
Failed to make any impression on the Middle East despite being a highly paid envoy tasked with sorting out the problems of that area.
As reported elsewhere pardoned IRA killers without Parliamentary Authority in order to gain favour and be hailed as the man who brought peace to N. Ireland
After leaving office between himself and his wife (what a haggard) has amassed a personal fortune that no one seems to be able to agree on how much it is but most agree it is in the region of £50 million.
Now either he is running short of dough it appears he wants to re-appear on the U.K. political scene with his demand for a new movement that Encompass's all the various "remainers" factions.
To cap it all his speech was totally insulting to all U.K. voters basically calling any who voted Brexit, stupid as we voted for something we knew nothing about.
    er.Tony
Every U.K. household received a booklet from the Government that stated the case for staying in the EU yet despite this we voted to leave.
It is people like Blair who cause riots with the garbage that they sprout in the mistaken belief that we are all ignorant and need to be told what to believe by the likes of people such as T. Blair, who after all has made such a huge impact on the worlds stage.
Personally I believe Wallace and Gromit could do a better job of it than Blair, at least they stay faithful to their love of cheese instead of doing about turns in order to serve their own interests.

Well obviously Tony Blair is not flavour of the month. People say he led the country into a war in Iraq on a lie? did he? or was he misled by George H Bush and the White house? Also can anyone actually say the Brexit campaign was not a pack of lies either? £350 million a week for the NHS.

I listened very closely to the Brexit campaign, it was said what could £350 million do for the NHS, i dont ever recall that it was said that figure Would be spent EVERY week !, i think it was exploring what that sort of money could cure in various departments, farming was another mentioned. Tony Blair was a disaster, but has feathered his nest very nicely, obvious;y needs a thicker layer of feathers now, kt

I am delighted Blair has had the stupidity to start this rant of his. The more he belly aches on the more the nation is going to head off in the other direction. His record speaks for itself. The only thing that man has achieved is to line his own pocket.
