It does look like a great site and even putting aside the aspect of financial troubles it will be good for those in need of just another contact with some one that understands a ex mariners needs. I do hope that it does not get bogged down with red tape and PR. There will be quite a few that would benefit from contact with like minded soles that do not have the internet. We will have to make sure it is widely promoted the free phone number at least.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

It looks like one the Armed Forces have for retired Servicemen.
SSAFA, Soldiers, Sailors and Air Force Association, they help old Servicemen in need, My old mate Fred, who was a Second Cook and Tabnabs then ended up as a Major in the Kings Reg. worked for them . He got things done for them such as painting, decorating, new chair lifts for the stairs, new showers in their bathrooms etc. A good organisation.

Well Alf mate it is like this. Her indoors wanted to get an electric blanket to keep the mother in law warm at night. I said why not keep her warm all dy with an electric chair. GP tells me the bruises will go in time.
